Terms and Conditions — Lill Costume

Welcome to Lill Costume (lillcostume.com). By placing an order in our store, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before ordering.

1. About Lill Costume

Lill Costume is a workshop that designs and creates handmade cosplay, primarily made to measure, inspired by characters from anime, video games, and movies. We operate from Mexico and ship internationally.

2. Products and Custom Nature

  • Most of our products are made to measure, based on the sizing information you provide at the time of purchase. By ordering, you confirm that the measurements entered are correct.
  • Some products (accessories, footwear) are standard-size and not custom-made.
  • Production times for each product (typically 1 to 3 months for made-to-measure pieces) are stated in the product description and are estimates, not exact guarantees, as they depend on the workshop's workload.
  • Product photos are representative; there may be slight color variations due to lighting or screen settings (see also our Return and Refund Policy).

3. Pricing and Currency

  • Prices in Mexico are shown in Mexican pesos (MXN); for customers outside Mexico, prices are shown in US dollars (USD), based on your purchase location.
  • Prices may change without notice, but the price paid on an already-confirmed order will not be changed retroactively.
  • Prices do not include duties, import taxes, or customs fees for the destination country — see Section 6.

4. Purchase Process, Payment, and Cancellations

  • Once you complete your order and payment, you will receive a confirmation email.
  • Cancellations: you may cancel your order within the first 24 hours after purchase for a full refund. After that window, our workshop begins the patternmaking and cutting process, so cancellations are no longer accepted without a fee (see our Return and Refund Policy, Section 2, for details).
  • Special custom commissions (designs of characters that are not part of our regular catalog) require a non-refundable 50% deposit at the time the order is confirmed. The remaining balance is due 10 days before the estimated shipping date. If the balance is not paid within that timeframe, Lill Costume reserves the right to pause or cancel production, without returning the deposit.

5. Measurements and Customer Responsibility

  • It is the customer's sole responsibility to provide correct measurements when ordering, consulting our size guide.
  • If the final product does not match the measurements provided by the customer, this is not considered a workshop error (see our Return and Refund Policy, Section 3).

6. Shipping, Customs, and Tracking

  • We ship internationally. Estimated delivery times vary by destination and are shown at checkout.
  • The customer is responsible for any duties, import taxes, or customs fees that apply in their destination country; these are not included in the product price or shipping cost.
  • Once your order ships, we provide you with a tracking number. Lill Costume is not obligated to actively track your shipment; it is the buyer's responsibility to track their package, including customs procedures and availability to receive the package or pick it up at a carrier office if required.
  • At the time of purchase, customers may choose to add optional shipping insurance. The full terms regarding loss, damage, and shipping responsibility are detailed in our Return and Refund Policy (Sections 4 and 5), which forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.

7. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

The specific conditions for returns, exchanges, and refunds — including what evidence is required, timeframes for reporting issues, and what situations are or are not covered — are governed by our Return and Refund Policy, published at [link to policy]. By purchasing from Lill Costume, you also agree to the terms of that policy.

8. Intellectual Property and Fan Art Designs

  • The designs we offer are artisanal interpretations (fan art) of characters that belong to their respective creators, studios, or companies (for example, video games, anime, or entertainment franchises). Lill Costume does not claim copyright over the original characters.
  • The content of the website (photographs, text, logo, store design) is the property of Lill Costume and may not be reproduced without authorization.

9. Use of the Website

  • You must be of legal age or have the consent of a legal guardian to make a purchase.
  • You agree to provide truthful and up-to-date information when purchasing (contact details, shipping address, measurements).
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders in cases of suspected fraud, false information, or violation of these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Lill Costume will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products, except as expressly stated in our Return and Refund Policy.
  • We do not guarantee that the website will be error-free or available without interruption.

11. Changes to These Terms

Lill Costume may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes apply to orders placed after the update date; the current version will always be available on this page.

12. Governing Law and Contact
